The Darkroom Principle
Our mobile app challenges the culture of instant gratification. When you capture an image using the camera, it is not displayed immediately. The image is sent to the 'Doka' (Darkroom) where it must develop for 24 hours. This shifts your focus away from immediately reviewing, deleting, and sharing the result, redirecting your awareness to the sensory experience of the moment itself.

“Do not take photos in the first 5 minutes.”
Walk for 5 minutes without a phone in your hand. Land in your environment. Open the camera only when you feel calm.
“Where are you standing now?”
Photograph the ground beneath your feet. The texture of the asphalt, grass, or sand where you stand right now.
“Forget all colors.”
Set your camera screen to a black-and-white filter while shooting. Look for shapes, ignore colors.
“Photograph 'nothing'.”
Look for an image with almost nothing in it. Fog, a flat wall, an empty blue sky.
